Young sprinter Bayanda Walaza showed why he is a talent to watch in the future, as he claimed double gold in Lima, Peru at the World U20 Athletics Championships.

Following his Olympic relay silver medal performance, Walaza won both the 100m and 200m – leading from start to finish in both races.

Kenya’s Andrew Alamisi was another outstanding performer, winning the coveted gold in the 5000m, with compatriot Dennis Kipkoech taking silver in the 3000m.

Not to be outdone, Ethiopia’s General Ayansa won a thrilling, tactical 800m race – taking the Agency’s medal tally to five overall.
