Newly crowned World Champion Luvo Manyonga has been nominated in two categories for the 2017 South African Sports Awards, namely Sportsman of the Year & Peoples Choice Star of the Year.

Manyonga has proven himself to be one of Track & Fields superstars this year, going undefeated since Rio 2016 and consistently producing multiple series of jumps that have come closer to breaking the World Record than anyone has in 26 years.

The awards ceremony takes place on the 12th November at Emperors Palace, Johannesburg.
