In her debut Commonwealth Games, young breaststroke star Lara van Niekerk proved her mettle at senior level yet again as she become double champion. Starting with the 50m Breaststroke, Lara broke the Games record three time on her way to gold in a time of 29.73s; following this up with a gold in the 100m Breaststroke in a new PB time of 1:05.47s.

Other Agency athletes performing well included Kenyan Daniel Ebenyo who ran an outstanding 10000m to claim the silver medal in a new PB time of 27:11.26, just 2s behind the legendary Jocob Kiplimo. Swimmer Matthew Sates also made an impression, making 3 finals (200 Free, 400 Free, 400IM) finishing a close 4th in the 400 Individual Medley; and Sarah Chelangat from Uganda finished 6th in the 5000m on the track.
