Yesterday afternoon Rikenette Steenkamp showed that she is the athlete to watch at the moment, by breaking her own South African 100m Hurdles record, which she set just one month ago. Competing in La Chaux-de-Fond in Switzerland, Steenkamp posted a time of 12.81s in the A Finals (lowering the old mark by 0.10s), after a wind assisted 12.70s in her heats earlier in the day.
