Long jumper Luvo Manyonga produced a 2nd round jump of 8.48m last night to take the lead in the IAAF World Championships, and never relinquished his position. With 5 of his 6 jumps completed Manyonga knew he had won the gold, and couldn’t hold back the tears of joy. “I am the worlds best – sounds so good to say!” said Manyonga, adding “Having won the Junior World title 7 years ago, now taking the senior crown is an absolute dream come true for me”.
Lee-Roy Newton, Agency group MD could not have been prouder of Manyonga, “Luvo is one of the most naturally gifted athletes I know with an innate love of competing, but to see how he handled the pressure cooker environment of London’s Olympic Stadium to produce such a result on the worlds biggest stage was something special to witness. Thank you too to Luvo’s team who have provided the best support in every way possible in order to help him become World Champion”.
