Gift Leotlela delivered the performance of his life in his first ever World Championships final last night in Tokyo. Having run a PB 9.87s in the heats, Leotlela ran two more sub 10s races, ending 5th in a very close final in a time of 9.97s.
In the womens 100m, Thelma Davies (Liberia) made it thorugh to the semi-finals, delivering a strong perofrmance after her break-out season this year.
