South African Polocrosse team make history against Australia

The South African men’s polocrosse team became a part of history this weekend when they beat Australia in a three match test series held in Warwick, Queensland. Australia have never been beaten at home before and by winning the series in a clean sweep 3-0, reigning world champions South Africa underscored their status as the world’s best polocrosse team.

Graham MacLarty from South Africa, who was voted best player in the world at the last world cup, was named as player of the series.

The team was coached by Bruce MacLarty who has led them to 2 world titles, and captained by Jannie Steenkamp.
