Thando Roto and Cornel Fredericks both showed exciting early season form this weekend. Roto, who ran a wind assisted 9.98 last week, ran a new 100m PB by over 0.09 seconds clocking a fast 10.18s. This is just 0.1s off the Senior World Championships qualifying time.

400m hurdles Commonwealth Champion Cornel Fredericks was back to his best after a difficult 2016 season, with his fastest ever season opener of 49.81s, which is also just less than a second off the World Championship qualifying standard.
