Commonwealth Champion Fredericks signs with Agency

Newton Agency is proud to announce the signing of 2014 Commonwealth Games and Continental Cup 400m hurdles champion Cornel Fredericks.  Lee-Roy Newton, group MD, was thrilled to have such a talented athlete join the Agency stable, “Over the past 6 years Cornel has proved himself as an outstanding athlete on the international stage and we are looking forward to working with him in his bid to defend his title at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and then as he targets Tokyo 2020”.

Fredericks was equally excited: “Newton Agency’s values and vision match mine and so it was an easy decision to sign on. The hard work starts now from my side, but I am looking forward to being able to focus on training and racing knowing that I have the backing and support of such a professional team”.

Magerman signs multi-year deal

Newton Sports Agency is proud to announce that Gezelle Magerman, the current Youth Olympic Games champion and Senior Africa Championships silver medallist in the 400m hurdles, has just signed a multi-year deal with Puma. “We are very proud of Gezelle; her results over the past few years speak for themselves and we look forward to journeying with her over the next 4 years heading into Tokyo” said MD Lee-Roy Newton.

Phehlukwayo willing to learn during Proteas experience

20 year-old Andile Phehlukwayo  is looking forward to the opportunity to pick the brains of the senior members of the Protea team in the upcoming ODI series against Ireland and Australia. Phehlukwayo named as new cap in Protea ODI squad

This morning Andile Phehlukwayo was named in the Protea ODI squads to play against Ireland and Australia. Phehlukwayo’s selection comes on the back of a great South African A tour to Australia where he was the leading wicket-taker. Newton Agency’s MD, Lee-Roy Newton, was very happy for his young charge “Andile’s recent performances are testament to the hard work he has put in over the past few years; he is a wonderful young talent and we look forward to this next step in his career”.
